Bloom with Hope

Sometimes a stamp set will inspire me to challenge myself to use all of the images on one card. Here's my attempt using Bloom with Hope.

Use a permanent Black ink pad such as Jet Black StazOn or the new Tuxedo Black Memento pad.

Stamp the images on copy paper (cheap, thin paper is best) and cut them out. I used 1 of each of the flowers with stems, 2 big flowers and 3 daisies.

Position the cut outs until you like the arrangement.

-stamp the foreground image first, then cover it with the cut out mask (I use repositionable TomBow adhesive)

-keep stamping the images and masking them

-use a sponge dauber with Pear Pizzazz ink to fill in the spaces and to add colour along the edge
-stamp the leaf images

-remove all the masks
-colour the flowers
I used:
So Saffron and Hello Honey for the flowers with stems and Crushed Curry with Old Olive in the centres
Pink Pirouette and Blushing Bride for the large flowers and So Saffron in the centres
Soft Sky and Smoky Slate for the daisies and Daffodil Delight with Crushed Curry for the centres
Pear Pizzazz and Wild Wasabi for the leaves

Tangelo Twist

Tangelo Twist is a fresh, bright orange. I used it with Melon Mambo for a fun combination with a 3D technique.

The sentiment is heat embossed to help it stand out.

-stamp the daisy image with StazOn ink on the white mat so the colour doesn't bleed
-colour the petals of one daisy with a Melon Mambo marker
-stamp the daisy on Melon Mambo card stock and cut it out
-stamp the daisy on Tangelo Twist card stock and cut out the centre
-curl the petals with a bone folder
-use an embossing tool on a foam pad to outline the centre
-form the centre with the end of a piercing tool
-adhere the centre to the cut out daisy with a dimensional
-adhere the cut out daisy over the coloured daisy on the mat

Blackberry Bliss

Blackberry Bliss is a deep luscious purple. It blends well with Blushing Bride and Rich Razzleberry.

I tried to capture an Oriental feeling with the foliage image from Bloom with Hope. My plum blossoms are made with a new punch!

-use sponge daubers to colour 2 dots on the filter paper with Blushing Bride ink and Blackberry Bliss ink
-place the filter paper over Blushing Bride card stock and punch out 2 sets of flowers
-crumble a card stock flower and peel apart (they have a suede texture)

-tightly tie 2 knots in Strawberry Slush twine
-trim the twine close to the knots
-apply a dot of glue to the flowers
-layer the filter paper flower over the card stock flower
-adhere a knot to the centre

Sneak Peek at the 2014 - 2016 In Colours

The launch of a new Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue means exciting new products, colours and inspiration!
When my pre-order arrived I decided to make five cards to showcase the five new In Colours. They are Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow and Tangelo Twist. The stamp set I used is a new hostess set of five floral images and five sentiments called Bloom with Hope. Perfect!

I'll post a tutorial and supplies list for each card this week. But, please note that the new products won't be available to order until June 2nd. Enjoy!
